55,000 Meals Daily
Distributed five days a week to families across the region.
Since 1978, Yuma Community Food Bank has worked alongside our neighbors to make sure no one in Southwestern Arizona goes without food. What started as a small volunteer effort to feed hungry children has grown into a cornerstone of our community, reaching thousands of families every single week.
Today we distribute 55,000 meals every weekday across Yuma County and the surrounding region. We do it through emergency programs, supplemental food initiatives, senior nutrition support, and a mobile distribution network that reaches communities far outside city limits. None of it happens without the generosity of donors, volunteers, and partner organizations who share our belief that no one should go hungry.

The mission of the Yuma Community Food Bank is to relieve hunger, increase self-reliance, and improve the quality of life for children and families throughout Southwestern Arizona. We provide nutritious food while supporting programs that foster independence among the people we serve.
We address both immediate food needs and the broader realities of nutrition and self-sufficiency, because a full plate is just the beginning. We want every person in our community to have the opportunity to lead a healthy, productive life.
To create a hunger-free community where everyone has access to the nutritious food they need to thrive.
We aspire to a future where food insecurity is eliminated and every person in our community has the resources to lead healthy, productive lives. By mobilizing support, building partnerships, and continuously expanding our services, we are committed to turning that vision into reality.
We run multiple emergency and supplemental food programs, each designed to meet specific needs across different populations. Together, they form a safety net that supports families, seniors, and individuals facing food insecurity throughout Yuma County and beyond.
TEFAP provides low-income individuals and households with surplus commodities donated by the USDA. The program supplements the nutritional needs of eligible families and is a critical lifeline for those facing acute food shortages.
CSFP provides a monthly supplemental food box to senior citizens age 60 and older. This program promotes good nutritional health for at-risk seniors and operates at multiple distribution sites throughout our service area.
Food insecurity does not stop at city limits. Our mobile food distribution program brings nutritious food directly to communities across the region, including Dateland, Wellton, San Luis, Somerton, and Yuma. By taking food to where people live, we remove transportation barriers and reach the families who need help most.
We serve children and families, working adults, seniors, veterans, and anyone facing hardship throughout Yuma County and the surrounding communities of Southwestern Arizona. Food insecurity touches people of all ages and backgrounds. Our programs are designed to meet people where they are, with dignity and without judgment.
No food bank fights hunger alone. Yuma Community Food Bank works alongside local businesses, government agencies, faith communities, schools, and partner agencies across the region. Together, we extend our reach, share resources, and make sure food gets to people who need it.
